Families Outreach Worker

Copy of Youth Families Outreach Worker

We are excited about this opportunity at New Day Church to employ a new Families Outreach Worker.

This is a fantastic and challenging role to work with us to develop our families and next gen work. We are offering a full-time permanent position (37.5 hours) with a NEST workplace pension and opportunities for further personal development.

New Day Church, based in Lostock Hall, is a church for all of South Ribble, a vibrant and developing region just south of Preston, Lancashire.

We are seeking a gifted and passionate follower of Jesus with a heart for evangelism and discipleship who is excited to play a key role in our current vision of reaching unchurched adults aged 20–40.

Alongside this strategic focus, you will help build on our existing ministries with children, young people, families, and the wider community, enabling more people to encounter Jesus, grow as His disciples, and discover the hope, purpose, and security found in God's Kingdom. The successful candidate will be relational, servant-hearted, and proactive, with strong social media and communication skills.

They will be willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute wherever needed, while also demonstrating spiritual discernment and vision in recognising and responding to opportunities that God may be opening up within our current context. As part of this role, you will be expected (where necessary) to relocate and become a committed, active member of New Day Church, participating fully in the life and mission of the church rather than simply serving as an employee.

You will play an important role in both teaching and modelling authentic Christian discipleship in a contemporary culture, helping others grow in their faith and equipping them to follow Jesus with confidence. The role provides significant scope to exercise and develop your leadership gifts as you help shape and grow this ministry area.

Initial Salary: £28,000 with employer pension provision (NEST).

Closing Date: 19th September 2026.

A Genuine Occupational Requirement exists for the post-holder to be a practising Christian adhering to the tenets of the Christian faith as set out in our Statement of Faith and supporting documents, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

New Day Church is a CIO committed to safeguarding children, young people, vulnerable adults and the elderly.
